Brig.-Gen. James Agnew, 2nd of Howlish Hall1

He was a grandson of Sir James Agnew of Lochnaw, 4th Baronet.2 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to King George III in 1775.1 He fought in the Battle of Brandywine on 11 June 1777, where he commanded a division.1 He fought in the Battle of Germanstown on 4 October 1777.1
