     Cecily Mary Adelaide Somerset was born on 18 November 1919.¹ She was the daughter of Arthur Plantagenet Francis Cecil Somerset and Mary Frances Elizabeth Randolph.¹ She married Major Lawrence James Howe-Ely, son of F. Howe-Ely, on 9 January 1946.¹ She died on 15 April 2007 at age 87.²

     He gained the rank of Major in the 60th Rifles.¹
