     Captain Charles Harold Longfield Beatty was born on 16 January 1870.¹ He was the son of Captain David Longfield Beatty and Katherine Edith Sadleir.¹ He was baptised on 19 March 1870 at Wybunbury, Cheshire, England.² He married Lucy Alice Beck on 31 January 1905.¹ He died on 17 May 1917 at age 47.¹
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 6th Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.¹

     Lucy Alice Beck was born circa 1868 at Australia^G.² She married, firstly, Major John Shakespeare Langlands in 1889 at Kensington, London, England^G.^1,2 She married, secondly, Captain Charles Harold Longfield Beatty, son of Captain David Longfield Beatty and Katherine Edith Sadleir, on 31 January 1905.¹ She died on 1 May 1968.¹
     From 1889, her married name became Langlands.¹ From 31 January 1905, her married name became Beatty.¹

     Major John Shakespeare Langlands was born in 1848 at Eglingham, Northumberland, England^G.² He married Lucy Alice Beck in 1889 at Kensington, London, England^G.^1,2 He died in 1895 at Rugby, Warwickshire, England^G.^1,2

     Charles Beatty is the son of Captain Charles Harold Longfield Beatty and Lucy Alice Beck.¹

     Captain Richard George Beatty was born on 2 November 1881.¹ He was the son of Captain David Longfield Beatty and Katherine Edith Sadleir.¹ He was baptised on 8 February 1882 at Malpas, Cheshire, England.² He married Florence Mary Bywater, daughter of John Bywater, on 21 October 1907.¹ He died on 9 June 1915 at age 33.¹
     He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, with the 4th Battalion and 1st Mounted Infantry Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment.¹ He was Extra Aide-de-Camp to General Aldersen in 1901.¹ He was Superintendant of the Remount Department, Lahore and Baluchistan between 1911 and 1914.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 36th (Jacob’s) Horse.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1915, on the North-West Frontier and Shabkardar.¹

     Florence Mary Bywater was the daughter of John Bywater.¹ She married Captain Richard George Beatty, son of Captain David Longfield Beatty and Katherine Edith Sadleir, on 21 October 1907.¹ She died on 21 April 1938.¹
     From 21 October 1907, her married name became Beatty.¹

     John Bywater lived at London, England^G.¹

     John Lionel Beatty was born on 8 June 1910.¹ He was the son of Captain Richard George Beatty and Florence Mary Bywater.¹ He married Stella Owen, daughter of George Owen, on 22 July 1954.¹ He died in January 1989 at age 78 at Lewes, Sussex, England.²
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with the 14th/20th King’s Hussars.¹

     Stella Owen is the daughter of George Owen.¹ She married John Lionel Beatty, son of Captain Richard George Beatty and Florence Mary Bywater, on 22 July 1954.¹
     From 22 July 1954, her married name became Beatty.¹

     George Owen lived at Pembury, Kent, England^G.¹
