Lady Amelia Darcy was born on 12 October 1754.3 She was the daughter of Robert Darcy, 4th Earl of Holderness and Mary Doublet.1,3 She married, firstly, Francis Godolphin Osborne, 5th Duke of Leeds, son of Thomas Osborne, 4th Duke of Leeds and Lady Mary Godolphin, on 29 November 1773 at London, EnglandG.4 She and Francis Godolphin Osborne, 5th Duke of Leeds were divorced in May 1779.4 She married, secondly, Captain John Byron, son of Admiral Hon. John Byron and Sophia Trevannion, on 1 June 1779 at London, EnglandG.1 She died on 26 January 1784 at age 29.1
From 29 November 1773, her married name became Osborne. She succeeded as the 12th Baroness Darcy de Knayth [E., 1322] on 16 May 1778, de jure.1 She succeeded as the 9th Baroness Conyers [E., 1509] on 16 May 1778, de jure.1 From 1 June 1779, her married name became Byron.

Francis Godolphin Osborne, 1st Baron Godolphin was born on 18 October 1777.1 He was the son of Francis Godolphin Osborne, 5th Duke of Leeds and Lady Amelia Darcy.1 He married Hon. Elizabeth Charlotte Eden, daughter of William Eden, 1st Baron Auckland and Eleanor Elliot, on 31 March 1800.1 He died on 15 February 1850 at age 72.1
He was created 1st Baron Godolphin, of Farnham Royal, co. Buckingham [U.K.] on 14 May 1832.1
