     Susanna Mary Fletcher was born on 26 January 1945.^1,2 She is the daughter of Charles Montague Fletcher and Hon. Louisa Mary Sylvia Seely.¹ She married Nicholas Walter Lyell, Baron Lyell of Markyate, son of Sir Maurice Legat Lyell and Veronica Mary Luard, on 2 September 1967.¹
     From 2 September 1967, her married name became Walter.¹ She lived in 1999 at Hill Farm, Markyate, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Nicholas Walter Lyell, Baron Lyell of Markyate was born on 6 December 1938.² He was the son of Sir Maurice Legat Lyell and Veronica Mary Luard.^3,2 He married Susanna Mary Fletcher, daughter of Charles Montague Fletcher and Hon. Louisa Mary Sylvia Seely, on 2 September 1967.³ He died in 2010.⁴
     He was a practising barrister.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Hemel Hempstead between 1979 and 1983.² He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.) in 1980.^3,2 He was appointed Knight in 1987.² He held the office of Solicitor-General between 1987 and 1992.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1990.² He held the office of Attorney-General between 1992 and 1997.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for North-East Bedfordshire between 1997 and 2001.^3,2 He was created Baron Lyell of Markyate, of Markyate in the County of Hertfordshire [U.K. Life Peer] on 27 June 2005.¹

     Sir Maurice Legat Lyell was the son of Alexander Lyell.² He married, firstly, Veronica Mary Luard, daughter of Lowes Dalbiac Luard and Louisa Mary Blackwell, in 1937 at Marylebone, London, England.^3,4 He married, secondly, Hon. Katharine Runciman, daughter of Walter Runciman, 1st Viscount Runciman of Doxford and Hilda Stevenson, on 24 September 1955.² He died on 27 May 1975.²

     Hon. Oliver M. W. Lyell was born on 1 July 1971.¹ He is the son of Nicholas Walter Lyell, Baron Lyell of Markyate and Susanna Mary Fletcher.¹

     Hon. Alexander Lyell was born on 8 December 1981.¹ He is the son of Nicholas Walter Lyell, Baron Lyell of Markyate and Susanna Mary Fletcher.¹

     Hon. Veronica R. Lyell was born on 8 May 1970.¹ She is the daughter of Nicholas Walter Lyell, Baron Lyell of Markyate and Susanna Mary Fletcher.¹ She married Robert Paul Byrne on 21 June 1997.¹

     Caroline Anne Fletcher was born in 1949.¹ She is the daughter of Charles Montague Fletcher and Hon. Louisa Mary Sylvia Seely.¹ She married Christopher Simon Courtenay Stephenson Clarke, son of Reverend John Stephenson Clarke and Enid Manico, in 1974.¹
