     Captain Guy Lutley Sclater was born on 15 August 1868.1 He was the son of Philip Lutley Sclater and Jane Anne Eliza Hunter Blair.1 He married Evelyn Muriel Chappell, daughter of Edward Chappell, on 2 September 1907.1 He died on 26 November 1914 at age 46, lost in H.M.S. Bulwark, off Chatham.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1
