Grace Patricia Kelly was born on 12 November 1929 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.G. She was the daughter of John Brendan Kelly and Margaret Katherine Maier.1 She married Rainier III Louis Henri Maxence Bertrand Grimaldi, Prince de Monaco, son of Pierre de Polignac, Prince of Valentinois and Charlotte Grimaldi, Duchess of Valentinois, on 18 April 1956. She died on 14 September 1982 at age 52 at MonacoG, killed in a road accident.

John Brendan Kelly1 

John Brendan Kelly was born on 4 October 1889 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.2 He was the son of John Henry Kelly and Mary Ann Costello.2 He married Margaret Katherine Maier in 1924.3 He died on 20 June 1960 at age 70 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.3
He gained the rank of Private in 1917 in the U.S. Army.2 He was awarded the Olympic Gold Medal in 1920 for double scull.2 He was awarded the Olympic Gold Medal in 1920 for single scull.2 He was awarded the Olympic Gold Medal in 1924 for double scull.2
