     Sophie Ottilie Gräfin von Faber was born on 6 September 1877 at Stein, Germany^G. She was the daughter of Baron Wilhelm von Faber and Bertha Faber. She married, firstly, Alexander Friedrich Lothar Graf von Faber-Castell, son of Wolfgang Fürst zu Castell-Rüdenhausen and Emma Prinzessin zu Ysenburg und Büdingen in Büdingen, on 28 February 1898. She married, secondly, Philipp Baron zu Neidstein on 5 May 1918. She died on 28 September 1944 at age 67.

He and Sibylle Dochtermann were divorced on 15 March 1973.
