     Heinrich I Prinz Reuss zu Köstritz was born on 8 October 1910 at Krietern^G.¹ He was the son of Heinrich XXXIV Prinz Reuss zu Köstritz and Sophie Renate Prinzessin Reuss zu Köstritz.¹ He married Woizlawa-Feodora Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Schwerin, daughter of Adolf Friedrich Herzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Viktoria Prinzessin Reuss zu Schleiz, on 15 September 1939 at Bad Doberan, Germany^G.¹ He died on 10 March 1982 at age 71.

She is the daughter of Heinrich I Prinz Reuss zu Köstritz and Woizlawa-Feodora Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Schwerin.¹ She married Gilbert Graf zu Stolberg-Wernigerode, son of Ludwig-Christian Otto Gustav Alexander Romanus Prinz zu Stolberg-Wernigerode and Anna Gräfin von Schlitz genannt von Gortz, on 28 August 1967 in a civil marriage. Feodora and Gilbert were also married in a religious ceremony on 10 September 1967.
