     Admiral Charles Powell Hamilton was born on 26 December 1747.³ He was the son of Lord Anne Hamilton and Anna Charlotta Maria Powell.¹ He married Lucretia Prosser, daughter of George Augustus Prosser and Lucretia Timewell, in May 1777.³ He died on 12 March 1825 at age 77.¹
     He gained the rank of Admiral in the Royal Navy.¹

     Anna Charlotta Maria Powell was the daughter of Charles Powell and Mary Powell.¹ She married Lord Anne Hamilton, son of Lt.-Gen. James Hamilton, 4th Duke of Hamilton and Elizabeth Gerard, in October 1742.² She died on 26 July 1791.²
     From October 1742, her married name became Hamilton.

     Charles Powell was born circa 1690.² He was the son of John Powell and Magdalenae Vaughan.² He married Mary Powell, daughter of Sir Thomas Powell.¹ He died in 1756.²
     He lived at Penybank, Carmarthenshire, Wales^G.¹

     Mary Powell was born in 1693.² She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Powell.¹ She married Charles Powell, son of John Powell and Magdalenae Vaughan.¹

     Augustus Barrington Price Anne Powell Hamilton was born on 22 May 1781.³ He was the son of Admiral Charles Powell Hamilton and Lucretia Prosser.^1,3 He married Maria Catherine Hyde, daughter of John Hyde and Mary Seymour, on 2 April 1805 at London, England^G.^3,4 He died on 27 August 1849 at age 68.¹
     He was also known as Augustus Barrington Price Anne Powell Douglas-Hamilton.⁴ He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.³ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at Fir Hill, Droxford, Hampshire, England^G.³

     Captain Charles Henry Hamilton was born on 7 October 1808 at London, England^G.^2,3 He was the son of Augustus Barrington Price Anne Powell Hamilton and Maria Catherine Hyde.^1,2 He married, firstly, Anna Abthorp, daughter of Reverend Frederick Abthorp and Susan Hubbard, on 1 December 1854.² He married, secondly, Elizabeth Anne Hill, daughter of Venerable Justly Hill and Jane Helen Shute, on 31 January 1860.² He married, thirdly, Sarah Julia Spence, daughter of Captain Samuel Spence and Charlotte Spence, on 21 October 1873.² He died on 30 November 1873 at age 65 at Shanklin, Isle of Wight, England^G.^1,3
     He was also known as Charles Henry Douglas-Hamilton. He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹

     Alfred Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, 13th Duke of Hamilton was born on 6 March 1862.¹ He was the son of Captain Charles Henry Hamilton and Elizabeth Anne Hill.¹ He married Nina Mary Benita Poore, daughter of Major Robert Poore and Juliana Benita Lowry-Corry, on 4 December 1901.³ He died on 16 March 1940 at age 78.⁴

     From 31 January 1860, her married name became Hamilton.³ Her married name became Douglas-Hamilton.
