Kenneth Perkins was born on 15 August 1926.² He was the son of George Samuel Perkins and Arabella Sarah Wise.² He married, firstly, Anne Theresa Barry in 1949.² He and Anne Theresa Barry were divorced in 1984.² He married, secondly, Celia Mary Sandys, daughter of Edwin Duncan Sandys, Baron Duncan-Sandys and Diana Spencer-Churchill, in 1985.¹ He died on 23 October 2009 at age 83.²
     He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) in 1953.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1955.¹ He was Commander of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, Oman between 1975 and 1977.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1977.¹
