     John Simon Baskerville Cadwallader Hopton was the son of Major Otho Cadwallader Hopton.¹ He married Julia Diana Spencer Bernard, daughter of Dr. John Gray Churchill Spencer and Elsie Phyllis Corley, on 12 September 1959.¹ He died on 30 January 2010.²
