     Mechtild Christiane Gräfin von Arco-Zinneberg was born in 1879 at SchonburgG. She was the daughter of Maximilian Graf von Arco-Zinneberg and Olga Baronin von Werther. She married, firstly, Prince Karl Max Lichnowsky, son of Prince Carl Lichnowsky and Marie Prinzessin von Croÿ, in 1904. She married, secondly, Major Ralph Harding Peto, son of William Herbert Peto and Kate Harding, on 1 December 1937.1 She died on 4 June 1958.1
     She gained the title of Gräfin von Arco-Zinneberg. From 1 December 1937, her married name became Peto.1

Prince Karl Max Lichnowsky

     He held the office of German Ambassador to England.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.)1
