Sonia Esmée Florence Butt was born on 14 May 1924 at Eastchurch, Kent, England.1 She was the daughter of F/Lt. Leslie Acton Kingsford Butt and Thelma Esmé Florence Gordon. She married Guy d‘Artois.2 She died on 21 December 2014 at age 90 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.1
Her married name became d’Artois.2 On 28 May 1944 she parachuted into France as part of the Special Operatives Executive, as part of Operation Headmaster.2 She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)2
