     Charles Browne-Mostyn was born on 21 November 1753.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Mostyn, 5th Bt. and Barbara Browne.1 He married, secondly, unknown daughter Tucker.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Witham, daughter of Henry Witham, on 1 July 1775.1 He died on 19 September 1844 at age 90.1
     He was given the name of Charles Mostyn at birth.1 His name was legally changed to Charles Browne-Mostyn under the terms of the will of Sir George Browne.1
