     From 3 April 1907, her married name became Bowker.¹

     Sir Derwent Hall Caine, 1st Bt. was born on 12 September 1891.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Hall Caine and Mary Chandler.¹ He died on 2 December 1971 at age 80.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Liverpool, Everton Division between 1929 and 1931.¹ He was appointed Knight Bachelor on 23 February 1933.¹ He was chairman of the News Letter Ltd.¹ He was founder and managing director of The Readers’ Library Publishing COmpany Ltd.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Caine, of Greeba Castle in the Isle of Man [U.K.] on 1 June 1937.¹ On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Sir Thomas Hall Caine was born on 14 May 1853.¹ He was the son of John Caine.¹ He married Mary Chandler, daughter of William Chandler, in 1881.¹ He died on 31 August 1931 at age 78.¹
     Sir Thomas Hall Caine usually went by his middle name of Hall.¹ He held the office of Member of the House of Keys.¹ He was a popular author.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1918.¹ He was awarded the Companion of Honour (C.H.) in 1922.¹ He lived at Greeba Castle, Isle of Man.¹

     He was chief technical advisor on paper to the Ministry of Munitions during the First World War.¹ He was Deputy Controller of Paper between 1918 and 1919.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1920.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Dorset between 1922 and 1929.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Dorset between 1931 and 1945.¹

     Dorothy Sara Hornsby-Sample was the daughter of J. T. Hornsby-Sample.¹ She married Gordon Ralph Hall Caine, son of Sir Thomas Hall Caine and Mary Chandler, in November 1948.¹ She died on 19 February 1964.¹
     From November 1948, her married name became Caine.¹
