Sir Derwent Hall Caine, 1st Bt. was born on 12 September 1891.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Hall Caine and Mary Chandler.1 He died on 2 December 1971 at age 80.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Liverpool, Everton Division between 1929 and 1931.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor on 23 February 1933.1 He was chairman of the News Letter Ltd.1 He was founder and managing director of The Readers’ Library Publishing COmpany Ltd.1 He was created 1st Baronet Caine, of Greeba Castle in the Isle of Man [U.K.] on 1 June 1937.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

Gordon Ralph Hall Caine was born on 16 August 1881.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Hall Caine and Mary Chandler.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Sara Hornsby-Sample, daughter of J. T. Hornsby-Sample, in November 1948.1 He died on 5 March 1962 at age 80.1
He was chief technical advisor on paper to the Ministry of Munitions during the First World War.1 He was Deputy Controller of Paper between 1918 and 1919.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1920.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Dorset between 1922 and 1929.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Dorset between 1931 and 1945.1
