     He was given the name of William David Finch at birth.¹ In 1893 his name was legally changed to William David Finch-Besley by Royal Licence.¹ His name was legally changed to William David Finch.¹

     Frances Caroline Besley was the daughter of W. H. Besley.¹ She married, firstly, F. H. Wood before 1893.¹ She married, secondly, William David Finch, son of William Robert Finch-Hatton and Agnes Graham Oxenden, on 18 July 1893.¹ She died on 26 May 1901, without issue.¹
     From before 1893, her married name became Wood.¹ From 18 July 1893, her married name became Finch.¹

     W. H. Besley lived at Dunmore, Devon, England.¹

     F. H. Wood married Frances Caroline Besley, daughter of W. H. Besley, before 1893.¹ He died before 1893.¹

     Violet Louisa Utterson was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. A. H. Utterson.¹ She married William David Finch, son of William Robert Finch-Hatton and Agnes Graham Oxenden, on 21 July 1902.¹ She died on 23 December 1944.¹
     From 21 July 1902, her married name became Finch.¹

     Maj.-Gen. A. H. Utterson lived at Sidbrook, Somerset, England.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Nigel Montagu Finch-Hatton was born on 15 June 1859.¹ He was the son of William Robert Finch-Hatton and Agnes Graham Oxenden.¹ He died on 22 June 1937 at age 78.¹

     Daniel Heneage Edward Finch-Hatton was born on 3 May 1866.¹ He was the son of William Robert Finch-Hatton and Agnes Graham Oxenden.¹ He died on 26 February 1907 at age 40.¹

     Edward Heneage Finch-Hatton was born on 4 January 1868.¹ He was the son of William Robert Finch-Hatton and Agnes Graham Oxenden.¹ He married Dagmar Gladys Wiehe, daughter of Colonel Francis George Archibald Wiehe, on 25 January 1912.¹ He died on 22 May 1940 at age 72.¹
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He gained the rank of First World War in the where he was wounded and was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier-General and Brigade Commander in 1916 in the 1st Battalion, The Buffs (East Kent Regiment.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹
