Lt.-Col. William Babington1 
Lt.-Col. William Babington was born on 25 September 1826 at London, England.3 He was the son of William Babington and Adeline Hobson.2 He married Augusta Mary Melville, daughter of James Moncrieff Melville and Augusta Lechmere, on 1 October 1853 at South Leith, Midlothian, Scotland.3 He died on 4 November 1913 at age 87 at Brooklands, Sarisbury Green, Fareham, Hampshire, England.3
He gained the rank of Colonel in the 7th Hussars.4
