     Rosalinte von Gepidate was born circa 540.1 She was the daughter of Kunimund von Gepidate.1 She married Helmechis (?) in a Y marriage.1 She married Alboin (?), son of Audoin (?) and Rodelinde von Thüringen, in 566.1 She died in August 572.1
     Tochter des Gepidenkönigs Kunimund, der von ihrem Ehemann Alboin 566 in der Schlacht erschlagen und dabei Rosamunde erbeutet wurde. Es war eine Zwangsheirat und sie ermordet Alboin mit Helmechis (in dessen Palast). Sie floh mit Helmechis, dem Schatz der Langobarden und ihrer Stieftochter Albsuinda (Eltern: Alboin und Clotsuinda) nach Ravenna zum Statthalter Longinus. Hier vergiftete sie den Helmechis und mußte selbst auch von diesem Gifttrunk kosten. Albsuinda wurde zum Kaiser nach Konstantinopel gebracht.1
