     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Coldstream Guards.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ Maj.-Gen. Sir Arthur Guy Salisbury-Jones usually went by his middle name of Guy.² He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.)¹ He lived at Mill Down, Hambledon, Hampshire, England^G.²

     John Maurice Armstrong Yerburgh was born on 23 May 1923.¹ He was the son of Major Richard Guy Cecil Yerburgh and Hilda Violet Helena de Bunsen.¹ He married Anne Jean Mary Maclaren, daughter of N. Peter Maclaren and Jean Charlotte Mary Theresa Farrell, on 2 March 1973.¹ He died on 17 June 2014 at age 91.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in the Irish Guards.¹ He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Dumfries and Galloway (Stewartry Division) in 1990.¹ He lived in 1999 at Barwhillanty, Parton, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Anne Jean Mary Maclaren is the daughter of N. Peter Maclaren and Jean Charlotte Mary Theresa Farrell.^1,2 She married John Maurice Armstrong Yerburgh, son of Major Richard Guy Cecil Yerburgh and Hilda Violet Helena de Bunsen, on 2 March 1973.¹
     From 2 March 1973, her married name became Yerburgh.¹

     N. Peter Maclaren is the son of Dr. Norman Henry William Maclaren and Mary Margaret Garnet.² He married Jean Charlotte Mary Theresa Farrell, daughter of Charles Bennett Lawrence Farrell and Monti Phoebe Aimee Brown, in February 1941 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^2,3
     He lived at Brooklands, Crocketford, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Oscar Guy Hamelin Yerburgh was born on 16 October 1983.¹ He is the son of John Maurice Armstrong Yerburgh and Anne Jean Mary Maclaren.¹

     Henrietta Yerburgh was born on 31 December 1973.¹ She is the daughter of John Maurice Armstrong Yerburgh and Anne Jean Mary Maclaren.¹ She married Richard Anthony John Bailey in 2001.²

     Arabella Yerburgh was born on 16 March 1975.¹ She is the daughter of John Maurice Armstrong Yerburgh and Anne Jean Mary Maclaren.¹

     Roseanna Yerburgh was born on 27 December 1977.¹ She is the daughter of John Maurice Armstrong Yerburgh and Anne Jean Mary Maclaren.¹
