     Michael Henry Wombwell was born on 2 June 1907.¹ He was the son of Arthur Charles Wombwell and Violet Bridget Heron Maxwell-Heron.² He married, firstly, Joy Evelyn Georgina Oakley, daughter of Algernon Seymour Bernard Oakley and Winifred Aline Sutton, on 19 July 1932.¹ He married, secondly, Grace Margaret Wills, daughter of David Wills, on 6 October 1962.¹ He died on 1 March 1977 at age 69.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1929 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹

     William Benn lived at Moor Row, Cumberland, England.¹

     Joy Evelyn Georgina Oakley was the daughter of Algernon Seymour Bernard Oakley and Winifred Aline Sutton.² She married Michael Henry Wombwell, son of Arthur Charles Wombwell and Violet Bridget Heron Maxwell-Heron, on 19 July 1932.¹ She died on 23 April 1954.¹
     From 19 July 1932, her married name became Wombwell.
