     Sir William Wolseley, 6th Bt. was born on 24 August 1740.1 He was the son of Sir William Wolseley, 5th Bt. and Ann Fieldhouse.2 He married Charlotte Barbara Chambers, daughter of Zachary Chambers, on 2 July 1765.1 He died on 5 August 1817 at age 76.2
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Wolseley, of Wolseley, co. Stafford [E., 1628] on 12 March 1779.1

     He gained the rank of Captain in the Army.1
