Sir Clement Wolseley, 5th Bt. was born on 27 October 1794.1 He was the son of Major John Rogerson Wolseley and Mary Baillie.2 He married Alice Elizabeth van Homrigh, daughter of Peter van Homrigh, on 30 April 1833.1 He died on 30 October 1857 at age 63.1
He gained the rank of officer in 1852 in the 80th Regiment, India.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Wolseley, of Mount Wolseley, co. Carlow [I., 1745] on 3 May 1852.1 He held the office of Major, Carlow Militia.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Carlow.2
