     Thomas Wallace of Cairnhill was the son of William Wallace.2 He married Lilias Cuninghame, daughter of William Cuninghame, 8th of Craigends and Christian Colquhoun, in 1710.1 He died in 1748.1

     He was a practising Advocate.1

     He gained the rank of Captain in the 15th Native Infantry Regiment.1 He fought in the Bhurtpore Campaign in 1805.1
