Admiral Sir Sidney Smith was born in 1764.2 He married Caroline Hearn, daughter of James Hearn, in October 1810.1 He died on 26 May 1840 at Paris, France.1
He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in December 1815.1 He gained the rank of Admiral on 19 July 1821.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) on 4 July 1838.3
