     Reverend James Rose, 3rd of Larachmoir was the son of Henry Rose, 2nd of Larachmoir and Beatrice Skene.2 He married Margaret Irvine, daughter of John Irvine of Glassel.1 He died on 10 July 1635.1
     He purchased Insch in the Garioch.1 He sold Larachmoir.1 He was (an unknown value) in 1585 at Strachan, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 He was Minister between 1602 and 1629 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1
