     Margaret Charlotte Riddell was the daughter of Reverend John Charles Riddell and Frances Sophia Cholmondeley.² She died on 2 June 1871.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Charles James Riddell was born on 19 November 1817.¹ He was the son of Sir John Buchanan Riddell of that Ilk, 9th Bt. and Lady Frances Marsham.² He married Mary Ross, daughter of Field Marshal Sir Hew Dalrymple Ross and Elizabeth Margaret Graham, on 11 February 1847.¹ He died on 25 January 1903 at age 85.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Field Marshal Sir Hew Dalrymple Ross was born on 5 July 1779.² He was the son of Major John Ross and Jane Buchan.² He married Elizabeth Margaret Graham, daughter of Richard Graham and Mary Graham, in 1816.² He died on 10 December 1868 at age 89.²
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹

     Mary Ross was the daughter of Field Marshal Sir Hew Dalrymple Ross and Elizabeth Margaret Graham.^2,3 She married Maj.-Gen. Charles James Riddell, son of Sir John Buchanan Riddell of that Ilk, 9th Bt. and Lady Frances Marsham, on 11 February 1847.¹ She died on 29 April 1900.¹
     From 11 February 1847, her married name became Riddell.

     Henry Philip Archibald Riddell was born on 8 October 1819.¹ He was the son of Sir John Buchanan Riddell of that Ilk, 9th Bt. and Lady Frances Marsham.² He died on 20 January 1889 at age 69, unmarried.¹
     He was Post-Office Director, India.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.)¹

     Emily Riddell was born in January 1809 at Scotland.² She was the daughter of Sir John Buchanan Riddell of that Ilk, 9th Bt. and Lady Frances Marsham.³ She married John Adams, son of John Adams, on 21 December 1843.¹ She died on 23 January 1881 at Torquay, Devon, England.^1,2
     From 21 December 1843, her married name became Adams.

     John Adams was a practising Serjeant-at-law.¹

     John Adams was the son of John Adams.² He married Emily Riddell, daughter of Sir John Buchanan Riddell of that Ilk, 9th Bt. and Lady Frances Marsham, on 21 December 1843.¹ He died on 18 September 1848.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹

     Robert Wharton was a practising barrister.¹

     Sarah Isabella Wharton was the daughter of Robert Wharton.² She married Sir John Walter Buchanan Riddell, 11th Bt., son of Reverend John Charles Riddell and Frances Sophia Cholmondeley, on 4 August 1874.¹ She died on 4 March 1925.¹
     From 4 August 1874, her married name became Riddell.
