     Merrial Julia Mander was the daughter of Henry Waterland Mander.² She married Frederick William Remnant on 17 August 1858.¹ She died on 7 October 1904.¹
     From 17 August 1858, her married name became Remnant.

     James Farquharson Remnant, 1st Baron Remnant was born on 13 February 1862.¹ He is the son of Frederick William Remnant and Merrial Julia Mander.² He married Frances Emily Gosling, daughter of Robert Gosling, on 30 August 1892.¹ He died on 30 January 1933 at age 70.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹ He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1883 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1886 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He held the office of Member of the London City Council between 1892 and 1901, for Holborn.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Holborn between 1900 and 1928.¹ He was member of the Royal Commission for Canals and Inland Waterways Navigation between 1906 and 1910.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Remnant [U.K.] on 14 July 1917.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.¹ He was created 1st Baron Remnant, of Wenhaston, co. Suffolk [U.K.] on 26 June 1928.¹

     Frederick Mander Remnant was born on 25 November 1864.¹ He was the son of Frederick William Remnant and Merrial Julia Mander.² He married Rhoda Kathleen Haughton, daughter of David Haughton and Adelaide Tyrell, on 5 August 1909.¹ He died on 19 September 1945 at age 80.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)³ He lived at Galley Wood Lodge, Edenbridge, Kent, England.³

     David Haughton was born on 26 July 1832.² He is the son of Benjamin Haughton and Rachel Malcolmson.³ He married Adelaide Tyrell, daughter of George Tyrell and Eliza Steele.² He died in 1904.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He was Director of Brown Atkinson Ltd, shipbrokers at Hull, Yorkshire, England.² He lived at Sutton Hall, Sutton, Hull, Yorkshire, England.²

     Rhoda Kathleen Haughton is the daughter of David Haughton and Adelaide Tyrell.^2,3 She married Frederick Mander Remnant, son of Frederick William Remnant and Merrial Julia Mander, on 5 August 1909.¹
     From 5 August 1909, her married name became Remnant.

     Patrick Tyrrell William Remnant was born on 28 July 1910.¹ He is the son of Frederick Mander Remnant and Rhoda Kathleen Haughton.²
     He lived in 2003 at Rathburn Cottage, Ballycarnes, Shankill, County Dublin, Ireland.¹

     Henry Frederick Remnant was born on 5 July 1912.¹ He is the son of Frederick Mander Remnant and Rhoda Kathleen Haughton.² He married Gabrielle Watson.¹
     He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force.¹
