     Laura Candace Pinsent usually went by her middle name of Candace.¹ From 1978, her married name became Smit.¹

     Jan Adrianus Bartel Smit lived at Arnhem, The Netherlands^G.¹

     Sir Timothy Bartel Smit is the son of Jan Adrianus Bartel Smit.³ He married Laura Candace Pinsent, daughter of Sir Christopher Roy Pinsent, 3rd Bt. and Susan Mary Scorer, in 1978.¹
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 2011.⁴ He was chairman of the Cornwall’s Eden Project.⁴

     Jeremy Alexander Bartel Smit was born in 1980.¹ He is the son of Sir Timothy Bartel Smit and Laura Candace Pinsent.²
