Hawkins, daughter of John Bawtree Hawkins and Georgina Mabel Bryant, in 1930 at Keynsham, Somerset, England^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Sir Herbert Stanley Oakeley was born on 22 July 1830.¹ He was the son of Reverend Sir Herbert Oakeley, 3rd Bt. and Atholl Keturah Murray-Aynsley.² He died on 26 October 1903 at age 73, unmarried.¹
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was Honorary Composer to HM Queen Victoria in Scotland.¹ He was Professor of Music at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He was member of the Philharmonic London.¹

     Mervin Vavasour was born circa 1822.¹ He was the son of Henry William Vavasour and Louisa Dunbar.¹ He married, firstly, Frances Elizabeth Hartwell Dickson on 23 October 1860 at Manchester Cathedral, Manchester, Lancashire, England.^1,2 He married, secondly, Georgina Oakes on 12 January 1866.^2,1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Georgina Oakes was born circa 1823 at Belgium.² She married Mervin Vavasour, son of Henry William Vavasour and Louisa Dunbar, on 12 January 1866.^2,1 She died in 1913 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.²
     From 12 January 1866, her married name became Vavasour.²

     Alice Keturah Oakeley was born on 27 September 1864.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Henry Evelyn Oakeley and Caroline Howley Turner Belli.² She married Arthur Godfrey Roby, son of Henry John Roby, on 22 May 1890.¹ She died on 11 February 1934 at age 69, without issue.¹
     From 22 May 1890, her married name became Roby.

     Henry John Roby graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹ He lived at Lancrigg, Grassmere.¹

     Arthur Godfrey Roby was the son of Henry John Roby.² He married Alice Keturah Oakeley, daughter of Sir Henry Evelyn Oakeley and Caroline Howley Turner Belli, on 22 May 1890.¹ He died on 15 April 1944.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹ He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.)¹
