     Captain Thomas Charles Fenton was born in 1790.² He married Harriette Rooke on 11 January 1817 at WAlcott, Bath, Somerset, England.² He married Anne Kensington, daughter of John Pooley Kensington and Anne Rawlins, on 26 August 1830.² He died on 6 February 1841 at Stroat House, Tidenham, Gloucestershire, England.²
     He lived at Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Wales.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Dragoons.¹

     Emily Caroline Layard was born on 17 March 1844 at Kentish Town, London, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of Brownlow Edward Layard and Caroline Mary Fenton.¹ She married Reverend John Shepherd on 18 July 1867.¹ She died on 2 September 1895 at age 51 at Sainte-Luc, Switzerland.¹
     From 18 July 1867, her married name became Shepherd.¹

     Reverend John Shepherd was born in 1842.² He married Emily Caroline Layard, daughter of Brownlow Edward Layard and Caroline Mary Fenton, on 18 July 1867.¹ He died in 1918.²
     He was also known as Mark Edward Renn.² He was the Vicar between 1875 and 1905 at Eton, Berkshire, England.³ He held the office of Hon. Canon of Christ Church, Oxford in 1901.³
