     He purchased Barony of Blairquahan in 1638 from Adam Whitefoord.¹ In 1638 he had a charter of the Barony of Blairqahan, brought from his brother.¹

     Isobel Eccles married John Whytfurd, son of David Whytfurd and unknown daughter Kennedy.¹
     Her married name became Whytfurd.¹

     Anna Cathcart of Cainock married Adam Whitefoord, son of David Whytfurd and unknown daughter Kennedy.¹
     Her married name became Whitefoord.¹

     John Whitefoord was the son of Adam Whitefoord and Anna Cathcart of Cainock.¹ He died in 1701.¹
     He lived at Blairquahan, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹ He gained the rank of Cornet in the North British Dragoons.¹

     Elizabeth Cunynghame is the daughter of Sir David Cunynghame of Milncraig, 1st Bt.¹ She married Bryce Whitefoord, son of James Whitefoord of Dunduff and Isabel Blair.¹
     Her married name became Whitefoord.¹

     James Whitefoord was the son of Bryce Whitefoord and Elizabeth Cunynghame.¹ He died in 1785, without issue.¹
     He lived at Dunduff, Maybole, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹

     William Clive was born on 29 August 1745.² He is the son of Richard Clive and Rebecca Gaskell.² He married Elizabeth Clive Rotton, daughter of John Rotton, on 25 August 1790.² He died on 23 June 1825 at age 79.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bishops Castle.¹ He lived at Styche, Shropshire, England^G.¹
