     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1899 in the 1st Battalion, Welsh Regiment.1 He was British Vice-Consul to Liége between 1904 and 1906.1

     From March 1905, her married name became Leeds. From 28 October 1921, her married name became Clark.1 From 16 April 1943, her married name became McLinden.1
