     Sir Francis Kinloch of Gilmerton, 1st Bt. was the son of Andrew Kinloch.2 He married Magdalen McNath of Newbyres.1 He died circa 14 December 1691.1 He was buried on 17 December 1691.1
     He lived at Gilmerton, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Edinburgh in 1678.1 He held the office of Lord Provost of Edinburgh.1 He was created 1st Baronet Kinloch, of Gilmerton [Nova Scotia] on 16 September 1686.1

     Sir Francis Kinloch of Gilmerton, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Francis Kinloch of Gilmerton, 1st Bt. and Magdalen McNath of Newbyres.2 He married Mary Leslie, daughter of David Leslie, 1st Lord Newark, circa 1676.1 He died circa 8 September 1699.1 He was buried on 11 September 1699.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Kinloch, of Gilmerton [N.S., 1686] circa 14 December 1691.1

     Mary Leslie is the daughter of David Leslie, 1st Lord Newark.1 She married, firstly, Sir Francis Kinloch of Gilmerton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Francis Kinloch of Gilmerton, 1st Bt. and Magdalen McNath of Newbyres, circa 1676.1 She married, secondly, Hon. Sir Alexander Ogilvy, Lord Forglen, son of Sir George Ogilvy, 2nd Lord Banff and Agnes Falconer, on 18 January 1702.1
     From circa 1676, her married name became Kinloch. From 18 January 1702, her married name became Ogilvy.1

     From 1705, her married name became Kinloch.
