     Alfred Crowther held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Emily Crowther was the daughter of Alfred Crowther.² She married Sir Joseph Henry Kaye, 1st Bt., son of Henry Kaye, on 23 September 1885.¹ She died on 12 April 1933.¹
     From 23 September 1885, her married name became Kaye.

     Sir Henry Gordon Kaye, 2nd Bt. was born on 24 February 1889.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph Henry Kaye, 1st Bt. and Emily Crowther.² He married Winifred Scales, daughter of Walter Henry Scales, on 29 April 1916.¹ He died on 19 February 1956 at age 66.¹
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.² He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1910 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1914 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He gained the rank of Captain in the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.¹ He fought in the First World War, in France and Salonika, and was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Commander in the Royal Flying Corps.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was director of Huddersfield Building Society, and Sun Insurance Office Leeds.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Kaye, of Huddersfield, co. York [U.K., 1923] on 24 December 1923.¹

     Winifred Scales is the daughter of Walter Henry Scales.² She married Sir Henry Gordon Kaye, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Joseph Henry Kaye, 1st Bt. and Emily Crowther, on 29 April 1916.¹
     From 29 April 1916, her married name became Kaye.

     Sir Stephen Henry Gordon Kaye, 3rd Bt. was born on 24 March 1917.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Gordon Kaye, 2nd Bt. and Winifred Scales.² He died on 12 June 1983 at age 66.¹
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Kaye, of Huddersfield, co. York [U.K., 1923] on 19 February 1956.¹

     Sir David Alexander Gordon Kaye, 4th Bt. was born on 26 July 1919.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Gordon Kaye, 2nd Bt. and Winifred Scales.² He married, firstly, Elisabeth Rosemary Hurtley, daughter of Captain Malcolm Hurtley, on 10 October 1942.¹ He and Elisabeth Rosemary Hurtley were divorced in 1950.¹ He married, secondly, Adelle Frances Thomas, daughter of Dennis Lionel Thomas, on 15 June 1955.¹ He died between October 1997 and December 1997.¹
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.) in 1943.¹ He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.) in 1943.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Kaye, of Huddersfield, co. York [U.K., 1923] on 12 June 1983.¹
