     He was commander of the a Troop in Ireland during the Rebellion of Tyrone.1 He was also known as Charles Maunsell.1 He fought in the Battle of Carrickfergus in 1596, after which he escaped.1 He fought in the Battle of Yellow Ford in 1598.1 He lived after 1598 at Lifford, County Donegal, IrelandG.1 After 1598 his name was legally changed to Charles Mansfield.1
