     From April 1852, her married name became Sargent.1 From 8 November 1871, her married name became Hamilton.3

     Thomas Wallis Sargent was the son of Reverend Abraham Sargent and Ellen Wallis.2 He married Letitia Sarah Hill, daughter of Major Edward Eustace Hill and Elizabeth Kennedy, in April 1852.1,2 He died on 24 June 1863 at Taylor’s Hotel, New York City, New York, U.S.A.G, by shooting himself in the head.1
     He was a civil engineer.1
