John Richard Brinsley Norton, 7th Lord Grantley, Baron of Markenfield1 

John Richard Brinsley Norton, 7th Lord Grantley, Baron of Markenfield was born on 30 July 1923 at London, England.3,2 He was the son of Richard Henry Brinsley Norton, 6th Lord Grantley, Baron of Markenfield and Jean Mary Kinloch.3 He married Lady Deirdre Elisabeth Mary Freda Hare, daughter of William Francis Hare, 5th Earl of Listowel and Judith de Marffy-Mantuana, on 18 January 1955.1 He died on 24 June 1995 at age 71 at Claro, Yorkshire, England.1,2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.3 He fought in the Second World War.3 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.3 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.3 He succeeded as the 7th Lord Grantley, Baron of Markenfield, co. York [G.B., 1782] on 17 July 1954.3 He was a director of Leslie and Godwin Ltd.3
