He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He fought in the Siege of Gurnowri in 1807.2 He fought in the Sikh Wars between 1808 and 1809.2 He fought in the Nepal Campaign between 1814 and 1815.2 He fought in the Mahrattas and Pindarres Campaigns between 1817 and 1818.2 He was Assistant Adjutant General to the Royal Forces in India between 1818 and 1824.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1835 in the 17th Regiment.1
