     Sir Henry Croftes was born circa 1590.¹ He was the son of Sir John Croftes and Mary Shirley.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Wortley, daughter of Sir Richard Wortley and Elizabeth Boughton.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret (?)¹ He died circa March 1667.¹ He was buried on 31 March 1667.¹
     He had five sons and five daughters by his first wife, and one son and three daughters by his second wife.¹ He was appointed Knight on 22 January 1611.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) in 1624.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) in 1660.¹

     Margaret (?) married Sir Henry Croftes, son of Sir John Croftes and Mary Shirley.¹ She died circa March 1674.¹ She was buried on 31 March 1674.¹
     Her married name became Croftes.

     Anthony Croftes was born circa 1593.¹ He was the son of Sir John Croftes and Mary Shirley.² He married Mary Franklin, daughter of Richard Franklin, on 16 July 1633.¹ He died on 1 October 1657.¹
     He was admitted to Gray’s Inn in 1612.¹ He lived at West Stow, Suffolk, England^G.¹ He had three sons.¹

     Mary Franklin was the daughter of Richard Franklin.¹ She married, firstly, Sir John Smith before 1633.¹ She married, secondly, Anthony Croftes, son of Sir John Croftes and Mary Shirley, on 16 July 1633.¹ She died in 1678.¹
     From before 1633, her married name became Smith.¹ From 16 July 1633, her married name became Croftes. She lived at Leeds Castle, Kent, England^G.¹
