     Harriet Trench was the daughter of William Trench and Sarah Elizabeth Frances Henrietta Ricarda Moore.¹ She married Venerable Evans Johnson in April 1832.¹ She died in October 1840.¹
     From April 1832, her married name became Johnson.¹

     Marie de Lusignan was the daughter of Hugues XI de Lusignan, Comte de la Marche and Yolande de Bretagne, Comtesse de Penthièvre et Porhoët. She married Robert de Ferrers, 6th Earl of Derby, son of William de Ferrers, 5th Earl of Derby and Margaret de Quincy, in 1249. She died between 11 July 1266 and 1269.¹

     John Proby, 1st Baron Carysfort was born on 25 November 1720.¹ He was the son of John Proby and Hon. Jane Leveson-Gower.¹ He married Hon. Elizabeth Allen, daughter of Joshua Allen, 2nd Viscount Allen and Margaret du Pass, on 27 August 1750.¹ He died on 18 October 1772 at age 51 at Lille, France^G.¹ He was buried at Elton, Huntingdonshire, England^G.¹
     He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1741 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1742 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Stamford between 1747 and 1754.¹ He held the office of Grand Master of the Freemasons between 1752 and 1754.¹ He was created 1st Baron Carysfort, of Carysfort, co. Wicklow [Ireland] on 23 January 1752.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Huntingdonshire between 1754 and 1768.¹ He held the office of Lord of the Admiralty between April 1757 and July 1757.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] on 4 August 1758.¹ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 23 March 1761.¹ He held the office of Lord of the Admiralty between 1763 and 1765.¹

     Hon. Elizabeth Allen was baptised on 19 July 1722.¹ She was the daughter of Joshua Allen, 2nd Viscount Allen and Margaret du Pass.¹ She married John Proby, 1st Baron Carysfort, son of John Proby and Hon. Jane Leveson-Gower, on 27 August 1750.¹ She died on 18 March 1783 at age 60.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) in March 1783.¹
     Her married name became Proby. After her marriage, Hon. Elizabeth Allen was styled as Baroness Carysfort on 23 January 1752.

     Henry Howard, 2nd Earl of Effingham was born on 23 August 1806.¹ He was the son of General Kenneth Alexander Howard, 1st Earl of Effingham and Lady Charlotte Primrose.¹ He married Eliza Drummond, daughter of General Sir Gordon Drummond and Margaret Russell, on 18 August 1832.¹ He died on 5 February 1889 at age 82.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Effingham [U.K., 1837] on 13 February 1845.¹ He succeeded as the 13th Baron Howard of Effingham, co. Surrey [E., 1554] on 13 February 1845.¹

     Eliza Drummond was born circa 1811.² She was the daughter of General Sir Gordon Drummond and Margaret Russell.^1,3 She married Henry Howard, 2nd Earl of Effingham, son of General Kenneth Alexander Howard, 1st Earl of Effingham and Lady Charlotte Primrose, on 18 August 1832.¹ She died on 27 February 1894.¹
     From 18 August 1832, her married name became Howard. After her marriage, Eliza Drummond was styled as Countess of Effingham on 13 February 1845.

     General Sir Gordon Drummond was born on 27 September 1772 at Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.² He was the son of Colin Drummond and Katherine Oliphant.² He married Margaret Russell, daughter of William Russell, in 1807.² He died on 10 October 1854 at age 82 at London, England.²
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹ He fought in the War of 1812 in 1812.²

     Henry Howard, 3rd Earl of Effingham was born on 7 February 1837.¹ He was the son of Henry Howard, 2nd Earl of Effingham and Eliza Drummond.¹ He married Victoria Francesca Boyer, daughter of A. Boyer, on 31 October 1865.¹ He died on 4 May 1898 at age 61.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He succeeded as the 14th Baron Howard of Effingham, co. Surrey [E., 1554] on 5 February 1889.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Effingham [U.K., 1837] on 5 February 1889.¹

     Hon. Frederick Charles Howard was born on 21 June 1840.¹ He was the son of Henry Howard, 2nd Earl of Effingham and Eliza Drummond.¹ He married Lady Constance Eleanora Caroline Finch-Hatton, daughter of George James Finch-Hatton, 11th Earl of Winchilsea and Lady Constance Henrietta Paget, on 3 June 1871.¹ He died on 26 October 1893 at age 53.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.¹

     Gordon Frederick Henry Charles Howard, 5th Earl of Effingham was born on 18 May 1873.¹ He was the son of Hon. Frederick Charles Howard and Lady Constance Eleanora Caroline Finch-Hatton.¹ He married, firstly, Rosamond Margaret Hudson, daughter of Edward Harrison Hudson, on 26 January 1904.¹ He and Rosamond Margaret Hudson were divorced in 1914.¹ He married, secondly, Madeleine Foshay, daughter of William D. Foshay, on 17 January 1924 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.^G.¹ He died on 7 July 1946 at age 73.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Effingham [U.K., 1837] on 6 May 1927.¹ He succeeded as the 16th Baron Howard of Effingham, co. Surrey [E., 1554] on 6 May 1927.¹
