Maj.-Gen. Sir Robert Fanshawe was the son of Reverend Henry Leighton Fanshawe. He married Evelyn Katherine Isabel Knox, daughter of Most Rev. Robert Knox and Catherine Delia Fitzgibbon, on 8 October 1903.1 He died on 24 August 1946.1
