Sir James Houssemayne Du Boulay1 
Sir James Houssemayne Du Boulay was born on 15 April 1868.1 He was the son of Reverend James Thomas Houssemayne Du Boulay and Alice Mead Cornish.1 He married Freda Elais Butts Howell, daughter of Alfred Howell and Beatrice Martha Butts, on 31 July 1901 at Weybridge, Surrey, EnglandG.1,3 He died on 26 November 1945 at age 77.1
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was with the Indian Civil Service.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Defence Force.1 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1 He was Private Secretary to the Governor of Bombay between 1903 and 1907.1 He was Secretary to the Government of Bombay Political Department between 1909 and 1910.1 He was Private Secretary to the Viceroy of India between 1910 and 1916.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1911.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1916.1 He was Secretary to the Government of India Home Department between 1916 and 1919.1 He was the Secretary and Bursar between 1927 and 1935 at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
