He married Mary Ann Todd on 4 November 1842 at Springfield, Illinois, U.S.A.^G. He died on 15 April 1865 at age 56 at Washington, D.C., U.S.A.^G, assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. He was buried at Oak Ridge Cemetary, Springfield, Illinois, U.S.A.^G.
     He was US President No. 16. Won the 1860 election over the two democratic candidates Stephen A. Douglas
and John C. Breckinridge by a popular vote of 1,865,593 to 1,382,713 and
848,356 and an electoral vote of 180 to 12 and 72. Was reelected in 1864 over
George B. McClellan by votes of 2,206,938 to 1,803,787 and 212 to 21. Hannibal
Hamlin served as vice-president during his first term 1861-1865, Andrew
Johnson during his second term until his assassination by John Wilkes Booth
on Good Friday, April 14, 1865 at Ford’s Theater. Called ‘Honest Abe’.

     Thomas Lincoln was born on 6 January 1778 at Augusta County, Virginia, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Abraham Lincoln and Bathsheba Herring. He married Nancy Hanks, daughter of James Hanks and Lucy Shipley, on 12 June 1806 at Beech Creek, Washington County, Kentucky, U.S.A.^G.¹ He died on 17 January 1851 at age 73 at Farmington, Illinois, U.S.A.^G.

     Nancy Hanks was born on 5 February 1784 at Campbell County, Kentucky, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the daughter of James Hanks and Lucy Shipley. She married Thomas Lincoln, son of Abraham Lincoln and Bathsheba Herring, on 12 June 1806 at Beech Creek, Washington County, Kentucky, U.S.A.^G.¹ She died on 5 October 1818 at age 34 at Gentryville, Indiana, U.S.A.^G.¹
     From 12 June 1806, her married name became Lincoln.

     Abraham Lincoln was born on 13 May 1744 at Berks County, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of John Lincoln and Rebecca Flowers. He married Bathsheba Herring, daughter of Alexander Herring and Abigail Harrison, in May 1786 at Augusta County, Virginia, U.S.A.^G. He died in May 1786 at Jefferson County, Kentucky, U.S.A.^G.

     Bathsheba Herring was born circa 1750. She was the daughter of Alexander Herring and Abigail Harrison. She married Abraham Lincoln, son of John Lincoln and Rebecca Flowers, in May 1786 at Augusta County, Virginia, U.S.A.^G. She died circa 1836.
     Her married name became Lincoln.

     James Hanks was born circa 1759 at North Carolina, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Joseph Hanks and Nanny (?) He married Lucy Shipley, daughter of Robert Shipley, Jr. and Sarah (?).¹ He died circa 1810.
     He was also known as Thomas.¹ He was also known as Abraham.¹

     Lucy Shipley was born circa 1765. She was the daughter of Robert Shipley, Jr. and Sarah (?) She married James Hanks, son of Joseph Hanks and Nanny (?).¹ She died in 1825.
     She was also known as Mary Berry.¹ She was also known as Sarah Harper.¹ Her married name became Hanks.¹

     John Lincoln was born on 3 May 1716 at Freehold, New Jersey, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Mordecai Lincoln, Jr. and Hannah Salter. He married Rebecca Flowers, daughter of Enoch Flowers and Rebecca Barnard, on 5 July 1743. He died in November 1788 at age 72 at Linville’s Creek, Rockingham County, Virginia, U.S.A.^G.

     Rebecca Flowers was born on 30 March 1720. She was the daughter of Enoch Flowers and Rebecca Barnard. She married, firstly, James Morris before 1743. She married, secondly, John Lincoln, son of Mordecai Lincoln, Jr. and Hannah Salter, on 5 July 1743. She died on 20 July 1806 at age 86 at Linville’s Creek, Rockingham County, Virginia, U.S.A.^G.
     Her married name became Lincoln. From before 1743, her married name became Morris.
