     Lt.-Col. H. W. Lugard gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Ellen Monica Lugard Clive was born on 6 June 1880.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Henry Somerset Clive and Ellen Lizzie Lugard.¹

     Henry Clive was born in 1777.² He was the son of George Clive and Sydney Bolton.¹ He married Charlotte Jane Buller, daughter of John Buller and Anne Lemon, on 27 November 1809 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.^1,2 He died on 16 March 1848, without issue.^1,2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ludlow in 1808.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Montgomery.²

     Charlotte Jane Buller was baptised on 23 September 1784 at Morval, Cornwall, England.² She was the daughter of John Buller and Anne Lemon.^1,2 She married Henry Clive, son of George Clive and Sydney Bolton, on 27 November 1809 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.^1,2 She was buried on 16 May 1874 at St. James the Great, Barkham, Berkshire, England.²
     From 27 November 1809, her married name became Clive.¹

     John Buller was born on 28 February 1745 at Morval, Cornwall, England.² He married Anne Lemon, daughter of William Lemon and Anne Willyams, on 3 April 1770 at Morval, Cornwall, England.^3,2 He died on 26 November 1793 at age 48 at Morval, Cornwall, England.²
     He lived at Morval, Cornwall, England^G.³

     Colonel Edward Clive was born on 14 November 1793.¹ He was the son of Edward Bolton Clive and Hon. Harriet Archer.¹ He died on 14 April 1845 at age 51, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.¹

     Harriet Maria Clive was the daughter of Edward Bolton Clive and Hon. Harriet Archer.¹ She married Venerable Henry Wetherell.¹ She died on 8 December 1864.¹

     Venerable Henry Wetherell married Harriet Maria Clive, daughter of Edward Bolton Clive and Hon. Harriet Archer.¹
     He held the office of Archdeacon of Hereford.¹

     Caroline Meysey-Wigley was born on 30 June 1801 at Brompton, London, England^G.² She was the daughter of Edmund Meysey Wigley and Anna Maria Meysey.^1,2 She married Reverend Archer Clive, son of Edward Bolton Clive and Hon. Harriet Archer, on 10 November 1840.¹ She died on 14 July 1873 at age 72, from injuries recevied when her dress caught fire two days earlier.^1,2
     From 10 November 1840, her married name became Clive.¹
