Mary Astor was born on 3 May 1906 at Quincy, Illinois, U.S.A.G.1 She was the daughter of Otto Ludwig Wilhelm Langhanke and Helen Vasconcelles.3,4 She married, firstly, Kenneth Neil Hawks, son of Frank Winchester Hawks and Helen Howard, on 23 February 1928.1 She married, secondly, Dr. Franklyn Thorpe, son of Samuel Strickland Thorpe and Cora Elinor Clise, on 29 June 1931.5 She and Dr. Franklyn Thorpe were divorced in April 1935 with an extremely bitter and public custody case afterwards.5 She married, thirdly, Manuel Martinez del Campo, son of Carlos Manuel Martinez del Campo and Mercedes Cuevas, in 1937.6 She and Manuel Martinez del Campo were divorced in 1941.6 She married, fourthly, Thomas G. Wheelock on 24 December 1945.6 She and Thomas G. Wheelock were divorced in 1955.6 She died on 25 September 1987 at age 81 at Woodland Hills, California, U.S.A.G.2
