     Anna Maria Shirley was born illegitimately on 16 March 1745.¹ She was the daughter of Laurence Shirley, 4th Earl Ferrers and Margaret Clifford.² She married John Louis Pasteur.¹ She died on 26 January 1816 at age 70.¹
     From 2 August 1782, her married name became Pasteur.

     John Louis Pasteur married Anna Maria Shirley, daughter of Laurence Shirley, 4th Earl Ferrers and Margaret Clifford.¹ He died on 2 August 1782.¹

     Elizabeth Shirley was born illegitimately on 4 April 1748.¹ She was the daughter of Laurence Shirley, 4th Earl Ferrers and Margaret Clifford.² She married Samuel Leech.¹
     Her married name became Leech.

     Samuel Leech married Elizabeth Shirley, daughter of Laurence Shirley, 4th Earl Ferrers and Margaret Clifford.¹
     He was a draper at Cheapside, London, England^G.¹

     Mary Shirley was born illegitimately on 8 September 1749.¹ She was the daughter of Laurence Shirley, 4th Earl Ferrers and Margaret Clifford.² She died in August 1823 at age 73, unmarried.¹

     Vice-Admiral Washington Shirley, 5th Earl Ferrers was born on 26 May 1722.¹ He was the son of Hon. Laurence Shirley and Anne Clarges.² He married Anne Elliot, daughter of John Elliot.¹ He died on 11 October 1778 at age 56, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Shirley, of Staunton Harold [E., 1611] on 5 May 1760.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Earl Ferrers [G.B., 1711] on 5 May 1760.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Tamworth, of co. Stafford [G.B., 1711] on 5 May 1760.¹ He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral of the Blue.¹

     John Elliot lived at Plymouth, Devon, England^G.¹

     Anne Elliot is the daughter of John Elliot.² She married Vice-Admiral Washington Shirley, 5th Earl Ferrers, son of Hon. Laurence Shirley and Anne Clarges.¹
     Her married name became Shirley. After her marriage, Anne Elliot was styled as Countess Ferrers on 5 May 1760.
