     Lieutenant David Edmund Cole-Hamilton was born on 6 April 1914.¹ He was the son of Venerable Richard Mervyn Cole-Hamilton and Margaret Bennett.¹ He married Anne Cole-Hamilton, daughter of George William Cole-Hamilton and Katherine Edith Baker, on 2 July 1938.² He died on 14 June 1942 at age 28, killed on active service in the Mediterranean.^2,3
