John Newton1

     John Newton was the son of Bartholomew Newton and Frances Budds.1 He married Elizabeth Lodge, daughter of Francis Lodge, in 1730, they had other issue in addition to Bartholomew, their eldest son.1 He died in 1748, before his father’s death.1
     He lived at Bushertown, County Carlow, IrelandG.1 He established Benekerry, Carlow, County Carlow, IrelandG, as the family residence.1
