Major Ion Grove1

     Major Ion Grove was the son of William Grove and Grace (?)1 He married Jane Pigott, daughter of Major John Pigott.1 He died in 1692.1
     He lived at Lissgriffin Castle, County Cork, IrelandG, (near Buttevant.)1 He was a Royalist Officer in 1649.1 He obtained in 1666 under Act of Settlement, a grant of the lands of Ballyhemock, Kilbyrne (which he subsequently conveyed to his brother John), West Drinagh, Greatingstown, Ballynemongree, Ballytolosy, Ballytrasna, and Ballymacmurragh all of County Cork, IrelandG.1 Major Ion Grove gave, by Deed of Gift, on 17 April 1667 to his brother John Grove property in Kilbyrne, County Cork, IrelandG.1

     John Grove was the son of William Grove and Grace (?)1 He married Margaret (?), leaving issue.1
     John Grove acquired, by Deed of Gift, on 17 April 1667 from his brother Major Ion Grove property in Kilbyrne, County Cork, IrelandG.1 He lived at Kilbyrne, County Cork, IrelandG.1 His last will was dated 18 July 1707.1

     Alexander Grove was the son of Major Ion Grove and Jane Pigott.1 He married, firstly, Dorothy Mansergh, daughter of Captain James Mansergh, in 1681.1 He married, secondly, Mary Bruce.1 He died in 1706/7.1
     He was attainted in 1689.1 He lived at Ballyhemock, County Cork, IrelandG.1
